Philippe, a challenge lover who has gained extensive experience in several different countries, currently holds the position of Total Gas Marketing Director of the South Cone Region. Total Gas Marketing has stood out in the energy market for its commitment to supply its customers with the best energy.

Making the Road by Walking

Philippe carved out his career at Total, where he started working in the financial area, leading businesses related to the whole energy chain in his native land, France, as well as the United States of America and Argentina. The know-how he acquired by playing a central role in the growth of several companies of the Group in this country, within the frame of different economic cycles, is a quintessential value he displays daily in order to improve the gas system efficiency, an activity to which he devotes himself with genuine interest.  

Philippe and his team’s initiative has led Total Gas Marketing South Cone to the top position in commercial strategy in Argentina on the basis of three pillars: innovation, foresight and reliable service.

New Challenges, New Strategies

Argentina is a country with special macroeconomic characteristics that make it a challenging and complex market. For the purpose of generating proper economic conditions for gas production and marketing, it is necessary to devise and implement innovative commercial strategies by integrating several factors: experience in the market, knowledge of the business and understanding of the national macroeconomic context, while trying to optimize the selling price.  

Philippe leads a team of professionals committed to achieving clear objectives: raising the value of gas domestic production and ensuring continuous and safe supply to our customers 365 days a year.  

One of the cornerstones of the commercial strategy efficiency is integrated working with Total Austral, another company of Total Group in Argentina and one of the main gas producers in the country.

Passion Beyond Frontiers

With some remaining traces of his elegant French accent, Philippe states that his heart chose to stay in Argentina, where his daughter was born and where he feels at home due to the similarities in cultural features with Europe. When he stops thinking about gas marketing strategies for a while, he spends his spare time going to the cinema, reading a book and, as most Argentine people do, watching a soccer game.

Education

Philippe Dupuis holds a Business Management Degree.

 

Work experience

He started his career at Total Paris. Then, he moved to the USA and later to Argentina. He joined Total Austral in 1992, where he served as Treasurer and Commercial Manager (first in the liquid area and then in the gas area).

 

Present

Currently, he is the General Manager of Total Gas Marketing Cono Sur, the new marketing structure of the Group in Argentina.
